Random House Children’s Books is responsible for a variety of imprints from Crown to Yearling Books to even the Golden Books. Many of you readers have probably read a book published by more than one of their imprints in your life. Everyone at least once in their lifetime has probably read or been read a Little Golden Book.

Now RHCB is releasing a new imprint with a new director. Gina Gagliano will be joining RHCB as the publishing director to Random House Graphic, a new imprint for teen and children graphic novels.

RH Graphic

Gagliano previously worked at First Second Books, a graphic novel imprint at Roaring Brook Press. It is also a division of Holtzbrinck Publishers. Gina helped make First Second Books what it is today and has a large amount of experience working with the graphic novel and publishing industry.

Random House is no stranger to Graphic Novels, especially in their children’s department. A few popular children’s graphic novels include: 5 Worlds by Mark and Alexis Siegel, Babymouse by Jennifer L. Holm & Matthew Holm, The Cardboard Kingdom by Chad Sell, etc.

When asked about this exciting opportunity Gagliano had this to say:

“I’m excited to be part of building a brighter future for the medium—one where there are comics for every reader, in every home, on everyone’s bookshelves—with Random House Graphic.”

This imprint will be launching in 2019.
